Prevent StackOverflowErrors on circular references

            Description

            I would like circular references to be detected in the TreeMarshaller and for an error to occur quickly, rather than by filling the callstack and knackering the VM.

            Note that this should not affect the ReferenceMarshaller which can handle full object graphs anyway.
