Description

Building a jar that works under JDK1.3.1 is possible but tedious at the moment. Sun14ReflectionProvider needs to be excluded from the build. An ant task should exist that builds a compatible jar.

Some notes:

Sun14ReflectionProvider will not compile with 1.3. PureJavaReflectionProvider should be used instead (unless a Sun13ReflectionProvider can be created?).

Java needs to actually be compiled with JDK1.3 as the 1.4 compiler makes optimizations that 1.3VMs cannot read.

ReferenceByIdMarshaller uses IdentityHashMap which is 1.4 specific. Build equivalent Map implementation that works on 1.3.

Ideally we should only have to distribute one jar that works for all JVMs.

This is ready to be tested....

To build you still need 1.4, but the resulting jar library should work on 1.3.
